i’m a graphic designer and illustrator with over 25 years of experience, designing for print and the web, as well as the occasional with a few opportunities here and there to use my illustration skills (my BFA was a graphic design degree with illustration). for roughly the first half of my career I worked in corporate and university marketing departments, usually with a team of other designers and writers. i feel lucky to have honed my skills with some wonderful companies and creative coworkers.
for the past 10+ years, while mainly freelancing, my favorite projects have been when I’ve worked with small businesses and nonprofits. a new logo and rebrand can make a huge impact on a company that can’t afford to hire an ad agency, and that’s where I can help them (or you) shine.
WHAT I DO
BRANDING
logos, text, imagery, signage, color palettes . . . all of these things visually “tell” your customers who you are. good branding can help your business as much as bad branding can hurt it. i can design for your company, offering just a logo, or delivering a complete branding package.
EVENT GRAPHICS
events need print materials, such as flyers, and posters, as well as imagery for social media. i’ve been polishing my skills the last few years, designing event posters, social media and t-shirt graphics for the local university and more recently, Film Festival and Theater posters. big, eye-catching graphics are the way to go.
NEWSLETTERS + MAGAZINES
many designers have a love/hate relationship with newsletter and magazine design, but for me, it’s ALL LOVE. i love designing a publication from start to finish. fitting in all the stories, logos, ads, and imagery is like working a giant puzzle, and I am always up for the challenge.
