a day at crystal bridges

Ever since I saw that the KAWS exhibition was at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, AR, I’d been planning a day trip. A trip that I thought I would take by myself, since it would involve making sketchbook or iPad art in the gallery itself, and that would be a pain for any non-artist who might want to go with me. But then I thought of my friend, Bridget, who is ALWAYS up for a sketch outing, so a plan was formed, and executed on a Monday a few weeks ago.

We got up early, slid into Bentonville 11ish for a cheapo lunch, then headed to the museum. While in the KAWS exhibition, an attendant noticed us sitting on the floor to draw and brought us folding stools! I love it! I created two works of art on my iPad and then we went up to their amazing art library and sat at tables and I created a drawing in my sketchbook.
